The Unbearable likeness of being in PE.

Morning Sunshine.
Hopefully everybody had a good day. Hope Christmas was good.
This year it was like any other day except with better food. And presents. And a Glowing tree.
And Girls dressed as angels. Just like any other day in my house. Crazy fools.
I have run out of things to do in Pe. Actually about 2 weeks ago. Sigh. At least 2 weeks ago.
Only so many hours of the day can you be "creative". (read: keeping myself busy.)
Then being "creative" just plain sucks.
Watched Lord of War the Other day. It was awesome. I reccomend it. King kong was kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak! Peter Jackson you suck. Nuff' said.
Narnia was quite entertaining. Never read the book so I do not know how close it was.
Didn't like azlan...he was arb. The main centaur and minotaur dudes were cool.
Tilda swanton did a good job (as always) in her white witch.
I have gotten to a stage where I can play a dota Ai against 4 computers and win.(ar)
Is that good? All I know is that Phantom assasin rocks. My atempts at illustration have.....lets just say been side stepped. I am only going to bother after I upgrade my machine.
A question to sync:
How does this look?
2x 200 gig SATA drives, 2 gig Ram, 3.8 processor. What graphics card shouldI get?
Thinking about Nvidia. 3800?

Ok back to the show.
I am probably looking at getting back in CT around the 19-20 of Jan. But I'll see how it goes.

P.s - My seventh sea game is cursed it seems. Adam left for Natal. And it seems tim is leaving soon as well. Anybody keen to join. (grinning manically.) No stress.

P.p.s- I just read Bast's 'landed gentry' + comments. Screw you Moonflake :) .

P.p.s- Damn those flings.....the little yellowy bastards are stuck between my teeth.

I did that archangel quiz and came out most like:

Lucifer. The most misunderstood of all the
ArchAngels, you're most like the ArchAngel of
Light. You've seen the darkside and have opted
for something better. You need better press,
though chances are no one will really
understand your motives.

Imminent Laxity 2: The return of the snooze.

I have been suuuch a lazy bitch lately. The last couple of days have been sleeping, reading and watching series on my Machine (Prison Break is the shit!). Aberat is shaping up to be quite a kewl book despite Clive barker's track record. It seems really fantstical and childlike (sometimes in a creepy way). iVE GOT MY GRUBBY PAWS ON SOME COOL MUSIC AND WILL HOPEFULLY BOUNCE BLISSFULLY (Damn Capslock.....) to it while I get my Portfolio updated. I'm thinking about the following themes. I'll try to do one of each.

Illustration themes
1- Horror - Zombies, Vampires, Cthuliod
2- Medieval Japanese - Geisha, Ninja, Samurai, Monks, etc.
3- Fantasy - I feel like something Foresty, like a creature or something.
4- Historic war - Like ...... A U- Boat full of eeeeevil nazi's.... maybe.
5- Steampunk - A cityscape or concept art of stuff, eg. like a automated carraige.

Oh yeah last weekend I played 14 and a half hours of Dota, It was sick. Dota is Ruining my life.
I watched "A History of violence." it was quite entertaining. The HtH combat was brutal and quick. None of the fancy crap that happens in hollywood. ( I f you step on someones neck...snap, crackle, pop. One Coffin coming right up.)
On a similar note I want a t- shirt that reads "I'm angry at the world." Then people might stop asking me stupid questions. If there is one thing that hacks me off these days, people that make statements without thinking about thier "golden nugget" of wisdom. Arrgh, considered thought seems a rarity these days............wait, this is turning into a rant. Abort. Ctr+ Alt + Del.
Ahh well. I have been chatting to mike and the Pratchett Larp (Discworld) seems to be his all consuming passion now and I'll be helpping with the props. (read making them from scratch.)
And I thought my Holidays were going to be blissful inactivity. I'm busier down here than in Cape Town, Sigh.

P.S. - I need to take up gym or martial arts again, revenge of the gut seems to just around the corner.

The holiday begins here.

Ok, I haven't posted for a while but exams and varsity work kept me busy...you know how it is.
I drove to Pe tuesday night to arrive at my house ready to fall into bed when three teenage boys were sleeping in my room. My younger brother seemed to have had a get together.
One of them fell asleep next to his vomit bucket......yay. After a 4 hour nap in my Dad's room I felt kak but alive....better than the dog a hit fekaken hard on the way down. It did surprisingly little damage to my car, besides breaking a fender bracket and fucking up a indicator. The dog was nowhere to be seen, hope it was ok.....I doubt it though. I visited a friend later in the day at his gaming store and talked nonsense for two hours. I had to go to tobies (club) that night to meet Lillian, Wayne and Ellamy. God I hate that place, it turned out OK though.(The wonders of a couple of drinks.) Spent today lazing about and had dinner with my folks at the spur.(I don't get to eat steak often these days.) I started to play Tyranids and have about 1250 points worth of figures and am enjoying the painting and customising. Maybe I can get a couple of games against people here in Pe. Ah well, I have nothing further to say.

You guys all know what I have been up to ........
So here is some useles yet bizarre facts.....

Today's Amusing Facts: Strange Laws

Anti-modem laws restrict Internet access in the country of Burma. Illegal possession of a modem can lead to a prison term.

In Idaho a citizen is forbidden by law to give another citizen a box of candy that weighs more than 50 pounds.

In New York State, it is still illegal to shoot a rabbit from a moving trolley car.

In Riverside, California, there is an old law on the city's books which makes it illegal to kiss unless both people wipe their lips with rose water.
In Saudi Arabia, a woman reportedly may divorce her husband if he does not keep her supplied with coffee.

In Somalia, Africa, it's been decreed illegal to carry old chewing gum stuck on the tip of your nose.

In 1845 Boston had an ordinance banning bathing unless you had a doctor's prescription.

In Michigan it's illegal to place a skunk inside your bosses desk.

It's illegal in Alabama to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church.

It's illegal in Alabama to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church.
In parts of Alaska, it's illegal to feed alcohol to a moose.

"To prevent violence," it was at one time customary at certain phases of the moon to chain and flog inmates of England's notorious Bedlam Hospital.

Oh and one last one....

Random Fact:The hundred billionth crayon made by Crayola was Periwinkle Blue.

Dukes: A hazzard

Watched the dukes of hazzard last night and it was arb. It had some entertaining bits in it but on a whole a excuse to show of Jessica Simpson's bits. (which are nice, but her music is so bad)
If anybody has seen a cool film on circuit lately let me know. The ones I know of are pretty crappy looking. Except maybe I love Huckabees.

This Blog is Teflon coated.

This is the third attempt at posting a blog entry this week.
Attempt one - "this lab is for Academic use only....froth..froth....(silence)......Twitch."
Attempt two - Novel networks says "hell no!"

Anyway, Weekend was cool, coffee with Vicky, Dinner at Pancho's and LAN games.
Got some roleplaying down last night, the schpat-talk factor was high but managable.
I got beat in the face with a lead pipe, by some crazy oversensitive doos. What the Hell!
I don't believe. I am a Warrior! :)

I found a module in the back of my Fae: Dark Ages Book, my run it for some noobs later in the semester.
#1 is to get 7th sea up and running....soon.

Some thoughts about campaign construction:

My last two campaigns went something like this:
1- Characters make characters with a satisfactory history.
2- The events in the charaters backgrounds become weaved into the narrative explored
in the course of the campaign.(Anchoring the Pc's in the narrative.)
3- Each character plys a brief prelude, roleplaying the events of the past.
4- All sorts of skeletons creep out of the closet upsetting what the characters considered
"fact".
5- And so on, and so forth.

In a vampire game I ran players played npc/minions during the other players prelude, thus keeping them entertained.

This approach is the same as with the 7Th sea game. Any advice?

P.S. - I schooled Conrad four games in a row. Vengeance is mine, ha ha ha!
